I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. Jacob Sullum lists some of the better known examples of passing- the- buck from last year. I wish he'd come up with some more examples. I'm sure he could have.

The sad thing that I don't think most people realize is by allowing these politicians to get away with these oversights and outright blatant lies they have now set the precedence for this to be acceptable in the future if we do not start holding these politicians and lawmakers accountable for their lies and oversights we're going to go down the slippery slope extremely fast Plausible deniability has become the new blanket form of immunity all the way from city officials to the President of the United States no one seems to be accountable for their actions anymore
