I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. The Times- Standard has an informative article describing Eureka's ward system and identifying boundaries (I'm in Ward 2). Nothing in the article convinces me the city would benefit from true ward elections as per Measure P.

If the voters don't approve representative government, the courts will. The few California cities with this system have been losing this battle again and again in the courts. We know from the police dash cam lawsuit/appeals, our city loves to throw away taxpayer money on sure-to-lose endeavors.
