The Hussein Hanging Video

I knew one would hit the streets eventually. Well, here it is; A supposedly surreptitious video of the Hussein hanging that goes beyond what we (at least those of us with morbid curiousity) have seen so far.

Not very good quality. Hard to really see what's happening after the trap door opens. It was supposedly taken with one of those cell phone cameras. Credit goes, if credit should be given, to Antiwar.com for the link.

Hopefully it's a trend that will catch on here in America. First empty out the prisons then empty out the federal government.

30,000 murders in Kalifornia the past ten years. There were eleven executions! Maybe a little of this kind of justice might just clear out out our death rows and deter some of the violent crime that is all too common today.

Think of it (the criminal justice system) as a jobs program: police, prison guards, trial lawyers/judges, construction of prison buildings etc. Your tax dollars at work. They have to release the dangerous ones to make room for the non violent recreational substance users. As for Saddam: good riddance.

Wow - another P.R. disaster for the Bush regime. Yeah, letting Sadr's thugs lynch Hussein for all to see was a real good idea...... If the Arabs didn't think Americans were racists already.....

it's all just stupid.
As for you, Moon Loube (you know who you are!), I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I can guess that whatever you mean, it probably is mean. As for "jobs program," you make a pretty good case for unemployment. As for "good ridance," I say "small potatoes!"

Sadam was a serial killer- if you live like he did ,hanging maybe to kind. However screwed up our involvement in Iraq has been the past 50 years,I still think its a bitch that thousands of kurds, and others were so horribly murdered. I'm OK that he's done. I'm not OK that we seem to be backing the wrong Despots for the wrong reasons. China has made great diplomatic gains in the region because of our poor performance. I'm also so damn sad that we have such good boys and girls dieing in Iraq. If on the other hand ,had we followed the Powell doctron of overwhelming force and hung Rumsy the first week, Iraq might have been a shinning victory. Remember we are in a war on terror-- it would be foolish for the "progressive" agenda to bury its head any further in the sand on that point. The ultimate victum of our Iraq mess might be the total loss of vision that terrorism is real.
