I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Thanks for the reminder of the fair. I wonder if it will be sunny in SoHum. Sure is drizzling here on the coast.
It was 90 here today Carol, and sunny with not much of a breeze.
Be prepared to pay 20.00 to park next to the golf course in that large empty lot. The free parking fills up quickly, unless you don't mind walking a mile or so from your car to the event.
I did not end up going because of the cost, and would still have to pay a fee to get into the event as well.
Twenty bucks to park? Wow. My kid daughter sprained her ankle, and it hurts too much to walk. I guess we will miss it this year.
Some years we have gone early and find a reasonable place to park. One time we drove down a steep one way road with a landslide and precarious parking places. We just decided to bag it and went home.
Parking always stinks, but free shuttles from town help quite a bit. Thanks for the plug, Fred! I did very well down there, all thanks to you. Woo!
