Press- Democrat Does Eel River Trails

The Santa Rosa Press- Democrat has a story on the Humboldt County based Eel River Trails Association. It includes some rather stunning figures as to how much some trails cost- $350,000 per mile to convert old rail lines to trails.

This is only the second best option here. Rail banking only keeps open the right of way. I am in favor of a train.

How much will it cost to get that going per mile and which has a better possibility of being able to mantain the right of way?

This is a first. I agree with Tom that rails are first. Let's get some real transportation to humbolt that gets cars and trucks off the roads. It is a real green solution.
