The Amazing Shantaram!

I think it's the first time I've heard of this guy, but I guess it's not the first time he's made press around here. Shantaram Jones; I guess we should call him the Amazing Shantaram.

But he's not just a magician. Apparently he's an entrepreneur as well. Might this be Humboldt's next Rob Arkley? Might he eventually end up buying Bridgeville?

Only time will tell.

He's a pretty fun guy. You'd like him Fred.

I met him a couple months ago when I visited Hutchins Market. He's a nice young man who treats people respectfully and can hold his own in a friendly battle of wits.

I joked around with him quite a bit because I remembered a lot of interesting times in and around Hutchins Market in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was extremely young at that time, it turns out.

I agree, Shantaram is a good man....but with a silly car. I have never seen him exhibit any negative personality traits, other than driving the car, or course.

Anyhow, I wish him the best of luck in whatever his entreprenurial idea is...unless it has to do withi driving that car.

Shantaram is a first-rate performer. I've seen him work the crowd at events -- a real pro, as if from a bygone era. He starts with a quick trick for a couple of people, and when people start to crowd around, his routine expands.

Highly recommended for birthday parties, events, etc.

Best of luck to him.

Shantaram has got to be one of the best fixtures in North Town Arcata. He's always greeted me by name and made sure I was doing ok. Evidently he's in the midst of buying hutchins grocery.
He's top rate for sure!

I'd buy a car from him, even though I don't drive.
