Good News For Vapers

From the Rest of the Story blog, Dr. Siegel tells us of an older study by the Roswell Park Cancer Institute that showed "... smokers who switch to e-cigarettes experience an immediate and drastic reduction in their levels of carcinogens and toxins."

I'm surprised Dr. Siegel describes the study as "new". As one of the comments pointed out, the study dates to 2011. But it was one of the first studies as one of those who did the study pointed out:
Dr. Maciej Goniewicz, Assistant Professor of Oncology in the Department of Health Behavior at Roswell Park - concluded: "To our knowledge, this is the first study with smokers to demonstrate that substituting tobacco cigarettes with electronic cigarettes may reduce exposure to numerous toxicants and carcinogens present in tobacco cigarettes. This study suggests that smokers who completely switch to e-cigarettes and stop smoking tobacco cigarettes may significantly reduce their exposure to many cancer-causing chemicals."

What the date of the study does show is what sort of information is ignored by the Food and Drug Administration, most likely because it goes contrary to their agenda. You can bet the FDA will continue to equate e- cigarettes with smoking tobacco. Heck, they already do.

The FDA clearly does not equate ecigs with tobacco.

But they have the ability to regulate both.

Like was mentioned, studies have been showing the ecigs as a viable safer alternative to smoking for a long time. An old list of studies are compiled here. Remember the Drexel University study?
I can't help but chuckle at the end of the compilation of studies as I read how nothing can take the place of clean fresh air. Just the other day I stumbled over some links that show that the average non smoking joe exhales more toxins than a Vaper does. I thought this was crazy, until I clicked more links. What it amounts to, is vapor has very few toxins, none of which are worthy of collecting data on. The average air we breathe, especially in our homes, contains hundreds if not thousands of toxins at various levels of toxisity. When a vaper is spending half his day inhaling cleaner & fewer doses of stuff, it all makes sense to me now. Nobody knows the long term effects, of course, but to date, vaping remains safer than breathing air in your own home.

Speaking of clean air, I hope the EPA gets abolished for their evil & disgusting testing they did on real life humans. Filling rooms with kids & the elderly, then sending diesel fumes into the room to collect data, to see if they'd die, to .. Breitbart has the latest updates on thie studies the epa performed years ago in hopes of proving their stances against SHS & diesel fumes.
